NiddFest is thrilled to be joining the Curious Arts Festival this weekend.
Described as the UK’s top boutique festival, the Curious Arts Festival offers a stellar line up of music, arts, comedy and adventures in a beautiful setting overlooking the English Channel.
Headlines include music from Tom Odell, Izzy Bizu and the Royal Philarmonic Concert Orchestra, talks from Dave Eggers, Joanna Trollope and Christopher Hampton and many famous names on the UK comedy scene. Curious adventures include snail racing, foraging, life drawing, creative workshops, a big choir singalong, the Authors XI cricket match and drinks masterclasses (yes, we’ll researching this one!). For children, there’s puppet making, a Jaberwocky hunt, immersive theatre and much more…
NiddFest is curating the nature strand of the festival and is hosting a major panel event and numerous talks. Authors include former head of Friends of the Earth Tony Juniper, TV chef and forager Valentine Warner, marine biologist and author of ‘Spirals in Time’ Helen Scales, best-selling novelist and nature writer Alex Preston, author of ‘The Tree Climber’s guide’ Jack Cooke, garden designers to Prince Charles and authors of ‘Landscape of Dreams’ Isabel and Julian Bannerman, celebrated author and expert on all matters alcoholic Pete Brown, and leading deep ecologist Prof Bron Taylor.
The festival takes place from 21-23 July (this Friday to Sunday!), at Pylewell Park, Hampshire. There’s glamping, bring-your-own tent spaces and local accommodation.
